You’ll cruise from Marlin Jetty in Cairns on a purpose-built, boutique vessel with three levels and spacious viewing decks. The cruise will operate with small crowds to ensure a private reef experience – more room, more comfort! 

The Dreamtime experience begins with an indigenous welcome and acknowledgement from the cultural guides. Step back in time as your guide brings to life the ancient, indigenous tales of the land, giving you a deeper understanding of this vast and diverse ecosystem. En route to your first reef site, there will also be a marine biologist presentation and a fish feeding and identification session.

Once you reach the first coral reef site, you’ll have basic know-how of diving and snorkelling. After a safety briefing, you can enter the water and explore the incredible underwater ecosystems of the Great Barrier Reef. Your reef sites will vary depending on the day of cruise and may include Milln, Flynn, Hastings, Saxon, Norman or Thetford Reef. (Guided snorkel tours, snorkel safaris, and intro & certified diving are optional extras that can be chosen at the time of booking).

The cruise is led by indigenous guides who will share the dreamtime stories that have been passed down over tens of thousands of years. You’ll enjoy their traditional dances and the magic tunes of the didgeridoo. This is also the only cruise that gives you the opportunity to interact with the original clap sticks and fire poles!

The tour includes morning & afternoon tea, and a delicious buffet prepared by the famous Ochre Restaurant & Tropic Spirit Catering. After lunch, the tour continues to your second snorkel site. All snorkel gear including masks and fins, along with life jacket and wetsuits are included.
